Handyman / Maintenance Technician

Pay: $19-$23 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in building maintenance, general repairs, and facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will have experience with basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance tasks and enjoy working independently to keep facilities operating efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repair work throughout the facility, including basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general building repairs.

• Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems, equipment, and facility fixtures.

• Troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs in a timely manner.

• Repair doors, locks, lighting fixtures, shelving, and other building components.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

• Assist with facility improvement projects and support operational needs as required.

• Utilize hand and power tools safely and effectively.

Required Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in handyman work, facilities maintenance, property maintenance, or a related field.

• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and mechanical repairs.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve general maintenance issues independently.

• Experience using common hand tools and power tools.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in commercial, industrial, apartment, or residential property maintenance.

• Basic knowledge of preventative maintenance programs.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of West Henrietta, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
