Make Ready Vehicle Detailer Job Summary: The Make Ready Specialist plays a key support role in ensuring dealership vehicles are prepared, presentable, and ready for customer delivery. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including cleaning and detailing vehicles, transporting vehicles between lots or service areas, fueling vehicles, and assisting with general dealership needs. The Make Ready Specialist is a flexible “jack of all trades” who helps maintain smooth dealership operations by jumping in wherever needed to support the sales and service teams. Supervisory Responsibilities: None. Duties/Responsibilities: Knowledge in exterior and interior cleaning. Knowledge in stain removal. Maintaining a supply of cleaning products and tools, ordering new supplies as needed. Transporting vehicles to and from lots, service, gas stations, or other dealership locations. Assisting with lot organization and vehicle placement. Ensuring vehicles are fueled and ready for customer delivery or test drives. Supporting general dealership tasks as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills. Strong supervisory and leadership skills. Education and Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent required Physical Requirements: Frequent bending, stopping, twisting, and kneeling.
